The Director General for the United States at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Carlos Fernandez de Cossio, appeared this Monday on the Star News of the Cuban TV to offer new elements on the press release published last Saturday, November 28th, in which he denounced the US participation in the orientation and support to the San Isidro farce.

The complaint states that on November 28th, Fernandez de Cossio summoned the United States Charge d'Affaires, Timothy Zuniga-Brown, to whom he conveyed the message that Cuba does not allow the United States or any other state to interfere in the internal affairs of the country, something that the US official must transmit to the US State Department.

The Cuban diplomat also denounced the presence of Zuniga-Brown on several occasions in San Isidro, where the American Embassy in Havana knew that an event of political and social provocation was taking place. He personally transported and supported those who were violating the health protocols for the protection against the COVID-19 pandemic, which constitutes a serious violation of his functions as a diplomat and as a head of mission.

The US participation in these events constitutes a flagrant and defiant interference in the internal political affairs of Cuba, while constitutes an incontestable violation of the Vienna Convention on the Diplomatic Relations, said in the note of November 28th.

Cuba does not accept that behavior, and it will not tolerate any disrespect for the law and norms.

THERE IS A RELATIONSHIP OF DEPENDENCE BETWEEN THE COUNTER-REVOLUTION OF SAN ISIDRO AND THE USA.

During his intervention in a segment of the Star News of Cuban Television, Carlos Fernandez de Cossio also referred to other moments in which the United States Embassy in Cuba has supported other social figures and actions that seek the political destabilization in Cuba. He also addressed the way they use social media to mobilize the public opinion around their interests.
