Talking about solidarity, new Cuban doctors in Caracas

The Foreign Affairs Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, valued the humanist gesture of the Cuban Public Health as unmatched when he welcomed a new group of 212 doctors and nurses to confront the COVID-19 in the city of Caracas.

I think of them as heroes and heroines for life. Men and women who risk everything to protect the health of the peoples, said Arreaza.

The Cuban public health professionals will work at the people´s offices of the Barrio Adentro 1 mission as part of the efforts to eradicate the pandemic at those communities.

The Venezuelan Foreign Affairs Minister, when exchanging with the internationalists on the ramp number 4 at the Simon Bolivar International Airport in Maiquetia, praised the willingness and the firmness of the health workers on assuming any task to reduce and control the infection rates due to the pandemic.

The welcoming ceremony was also attended by the Minister of the People´s Power for Health of Venezuela, Doctor Carlos Alvarado, the Cuban ambassador to Venezuela, Dagoberto Rodriguez and the head of the Cuban social missions, Julio Cesar Garcia Rodriguez.
