Congratulated the workers of the Cuban radio and television on new anniversary of the ICRT

The president of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT), Alfonso Noya Martinez, congratulated the workers of the entity in Twitter, after celebrating the 59th anniversary of the said entity, this May 24th.

Noya Martinez highlighted in his message the work of the Cuban radio and television personnel, who put their efforts and creativity out to inform, educate and entertain in these times of pandemic.

Founded in 1962, the ICRT is the entity subordinated to the Cuban State in charge of directing and controlling the public policies for both the radio and the television, while also contributing to the satisfaction of the growing informational, educational, and cultural needs of the Cuban audiences.

In the current context of confrontation with the COVID-19, the ICRT restructured its radio and television programming, to provide timely information while also contributing to raising the perception of risk in the population.

With more than 13 thousand workers, this institution makes possible the promotion and the defense of the national identity and culture, while it also offers quality and competitive products and services in the audiovisual universe.
